Adjustable Beds

Perhaps the biggest benefit of using an adjustable bed, however, is that it gives the user the opportunity to get a good, comfortable night's sleep. This is because the fact that the bed can be adjusted to a number of different positions means that it can help alleviate the pain caused by many physical ailments. These include:
  •     Arthritis and rheumatism.
  •     Respiratory problems such as asthma and bronchitis.
  •     Circulatory problems.
  •     Swollen legs and varicose veins.
  •     General pain or stiffness in the upper and lower back, shoulders, neck and hips.

The main attraction of an adjustable bed is that it allows you to find a sleeping position that feels right for you - but there is also science behind the mechanics. This states that an ideal sleeping position is with the head slightly raised, which allows for easier breathing. Raising the knees above the level of the heart also increases the flow of blood to the heart and round the body. Furthermore, your comfort is increased because the contoured body position significantly reduces pressure on your skeletal frame.
